Terms of Service

These terms of service apply to Ultimate Clarity, an app for photo and file management on Mac, iPhone, and iPad, published on the App Store (App Store ID 6757109510, Bundle ID: com.clarityapp.ClarityNew). Developed and published in Sweden. Available on macOS 14.6 Sonoma and later, and on iOS and iPadOS 17.6 and later.

Note: Ultimate Clarity (the app) is an independent product with no affiliation to Ultimate Clarity LTD, a separate UK-based marketing consultancy that uses a similar name.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Ultimate Clarity ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Ultimate Clarity is an app for Mac, iPhone, and iPad that helps you organize and manage photos, detect and tag faces, find and remove duplicate files, secure sensitive content in an encrypted vault, clean metadata from files, and export photo collections. All processing happens locally on your device. Feature availability may vary by platform.

3. License

Clarity is free to download and use with core scanning and discovery features. A one-time in-app purchase unlocks all features.

4. Restrictions

You agree NOT to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App
  • Use the App for illegal purposes
  • Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
  • Use the App to infringe on others' privacy rights

5. Your Data & Responsibilities

⚠️ BACK UP YOUR DATA — We strongly recommend Time Machine on Mac, iCloud Backup on iPhone and iPad, or a similar backup before using file organization or cleanup features. Deleted files may not be recoverable.

  • Maintain backups of your photos and files
  • Remember your Private Vault password (we cannot recover it)
  • Ensure you have rights to process photos of others
  • Comply with applicable privacy laws when using face detection

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free or that data loss will not occur. Use at your own risk.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ultimate Clarity shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to data loss, arising from your use of the App.

8. Updates

We may update the App from time to time. Updates for the major version purchased are included. Major version upgrades may require a new purchase.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
