🔒 Clarity processes everything locally on your device. We don't collect, store, or transmit your personal data to any servers.

Information We Do NOT Collect

Clarity is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect:

Your photos or files
Face recognition data
Location information from your photos
Usage analytics or tracking data
Personal identification information
Device identifiers

How Clarity Works

All of Clarity's features run entirely on your Mac:

Face Detection & Recognition: Uses Apple's Vision framework locally
Duplicate Detection: Image comparison happens on-device
File Organization: Files are moved and renamed locally
Private Vault: Encrypted using Apple's Security framework
Auto-Redact PII: Detection and masking happens entirely on your device

Data Storage

Clarity stores the following data locally on your Mac:

App Preferences
Face Recognition Database
Duplicate Cache
Statistics (aggregated counts, not content)

This data is stored in ~/Library/Application Support/ClarityNew/ and can be deleted at any time.

Full Disk Access	To organize files across your system
Photos Library	To import from Apple Photos (optional)
Notifications	To alert you when tasks complete

Third-Party Services

Clarity does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only external connections are to Apple's App Store for license validation.
